Power-hungry Elitists

Why do the Democrats believe they have the right to dictate how everyone in the world must live?  What makes them believe they have the right to force others to bend to their will?  Do they think they’re the only ones with a high intelligence quotient and therefore doing the world a favor by taking away freedoms they have no right to take and replacing it with a form of slavery that’s every bit as wrong as what the Republicans of the North fought to erase?  And speaking of slavery, I owe no one reparation.  My ancestors were Quakers and owned no one–and even if they did, I didn’t.

I believe the problem with elitists is their disbelief in a power higher than what they perceive to be their own.  Where is God in their lives?  How do they plan to attain a place in Heaven?  They surely don’t show their belief in an afterlife by their dictatorial desire to oppress the “little” people.  Without hope for life after death, for what else do they have to live?  Power over others is all they can possibly hope to attain in their short, meaningless lives.  No matter how much reason and common sense we Conservative Libertarian Independent Constitutionalists try to impart to them, they are blinded to the fact that we are their equals, not subordinates.

Only God has power over me and I’ll not give over my rights to anyone but Him.

Hidden Truths BP and The White House are Hiding from the American Public

Excerpt:

“What’s happening in the Gulf now Gary is that this is an environmental disaster that makes the World Trade Center pollution pale in comparison, and by God that’s hard for me to say because I saw some of the after effects and I’ve met some of the people from 911.

“The US government should be providing protective gear and getting people out of the area. Every pregnant woman should be moved out of that region. We should be moving young children, the elderly and the infirm out because this is a catastrophe that is going to lead not only to dramatic ecological damage and the poisoning of people but to a total economic collapse for the region because the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association charts now show very clearly this oil spill is going to continue. It might continue for as long as two years, and that whole region is dead economically.

“You’re going to see foreclosure rates the highest in history. I should note parenthetically that US foreclosure rates are now higher than they were in 2008 and 2009. More troubled banks. So we’re going to see millions, perhaps five to 10 million displaced people having to leave the area and the US government is doing nothing. And I think this is a paradigm issue in that I don’t think the US government or BP or anybody is even capable of comprehending what has been unleashed in the Gulf.”

Dr. Gary Null is the host of the nation’s longest running public radio program on nutrition and natural health and a multi-award-winning director of progressive documentary films, including Prescription for Disaster (2008)and Gulf War Syndrome: Killing Our Own (2007). Richard Gale is the Executive Producer of the Progressive Radio Network and a former Senior Research Analyst in the genomic industry. [Note from Melly:  I don't care from where the information comes so long as it's the truth.  The word "progressive" usually sends a chill down my spine, but the contents of this conversation truly scares the crap out of me.]

Gary Null & Richard Gale, Progressive Radio Network, speaking with investigative journalist and author Michael Ruppert, who for the past decade  has been researching and writing on peak oil and its contribution to the future collapse of the nation’s economy and the American of life. In 1998, he founded From The Wilderness, a newsletter and website devoted to disseminating reports and analyses about government corruption and cover-ups, the CIA’s narcotics operations–which he brought to light in the mid-1970s during his stint as a narcotics investigator for the LAPD–and the politics and science of peak oil and the energy industry. Among Michael’s most recent books are The Presidential Energy Policy and Confronting Collapse: The Crisis of Energy and Money in a Post Peak Oil World, both released in 2009.

When Aldous Huxley put a spin on a Gospel quote and wrote, “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you mad,” he could not have better had in mind the Obama administration, British Petroleum and our elected officials in their handling the oil catastrophe in the Gulf. There is plenty for Americans and the global citizenry to be fuming about, incensed at the trails of deception, lies and erroneous propaganda and rhetoric issuing from our corporate and government leadership.

//

Last week on a live radio broadcast over the Progressive Radio Network, Ruppert presented his overview of the Deep Water Horizon oil spill crisis, with some new insights gleaned from his investigations that are deeply disturbing.

Simply Why I Believe in Jesus

First, I’ve been complaining a lot about there not being enough time in the day to read and write everything on which I’m working.  Second, my time is divided between current world events, fiction writing, and family.   I’m doing the best I can; if I lag behind on keeping my readers up-to-date with my editorial viewpoint, please visit my Facebook page for quick posts on the topics uppermost on my mind.

The events unfolding on a daily basis are no less than what I’ve expected for the past 20 years.  I know nothing I say will change what is to come, but if I can make one person see the correlation between what’s happening today and Bible prophecy I’ll have helped bring hope to someone in an otherwise hopeless world.

Why do many millions of people believe in Jesus?  What makes us believe He is who He said He is?  What good does that knowledge do us?

Of all the men throughout history who’ve claimed to be of God and speaking for God, only Jesus performed miracles witnessed by thousands of people.  Only He could bestow life from death.  Everything Jesus exhorted the people to do was loving, kind, and generous.  He never once condoned or ordered men to kill in the name of God.  We live not by the Old Testament, but the New because Jesus changed everything pertaining to how one must be to attain eternal life.  Without Jesus, there is no hope of life beyond our brief existence here on earth.  There have been radical Christian extremists from time to time, but those who are truly His never have and never will excuse those who behave in ways not of His teaching.

I don’t know about y’all, but I’d rather live my life believing Jesus is my Saviour with the hope of attaining eternal life free of pain, hunger, and strife.  What if you lived your life in total disbelief of Jesus only to find He is the Messiah?  It’s so sad because all Jesus is and taught is good.

God be with you every day of your life and may you dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Love,

Melly

Army slams door on Obama details

Lt. Col. Lakin hearing: ‘Items pertaining to president’s credentials are not relevant’

World Net Daily

“Obama’s actual response to those who question his eligibility to be president under the Constitution’s requirement that the U.S. president be a “natural born citizen” has been to dispatch both private and tax-funded attorneys to prevent anyone from gaining access to his documentation.”

Please read Melly’s first post to read her opinion on the whole “birther” uproar…

White House chief tied to BP adviser

Did Emanuel’s link to oil company compromise efforts to regulate it?

 World Net Daily

“Emanuel lived for five years rent-free in an apartment owned by Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., and her husband, Stanley Greenberg, whose consulting firm was a prime architect in BP’s efforts to recast itself as a “green” corporation and recipient of hundreds of thousands of dollars awarded through a committee chaired by Emanuel.”

I thought only Republicans were capable of shady and/or illegal dealings!

Obama Under Fire for Backing Deal to Lift Global Ban on Commercial Whaling

EU Unions Protest Budget Cuts

Newsmax

Almost all 27 EU nations are trying to curb spending and reduce debt to contain a financial crisis that threatens Europe’s currency union and has sent stocks — and the euro — sliding in recent weeks.

HELLO?  Are they really that stupid?  How in the heck do the Unions think their governments got into such abysmal debt in the first place?

Spill reveals Obama’s lack of executive experience

By: Byron York

 Washington Examiner

In mid-February 2008, fresh from winning a bunch of Super Tuesday primaries, Barack Obama granted an interview to “60 Minutes” correspondent Steve Croft. “When you sit down and you look at [your] resume,” Croft said to Obama, “there’s no executive experience, and in fact, correct if I’m wrong, the only thing that you’ve actually run was the Harvard Law Review.”

No. Duh.

Lobbying bonanza

By: Timothy P. Carney

On Thursday night, Hotel Monaco will be the place for Wall Street’s lobbyists and Democratic staffers. Dems are raising funds from these LOBBYISTS at a $1,000 a head dinner, Roll Call reports: “But this week, K Streeters are expected to cut checks in droves for the chance to mingle with about 50 senior House staffers who are headlining a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser.”

I repeat:  Promises, promises, promises…who needs to keep them when you’re THE PRESIDENT OF THE U.S.? (0_0)

CNBC Host Says Obama Sullied Office With ‘Ass to Kick’ Line

US News

”If you’re the president of the United States and you go on the Today Show which is a morning show, where you’re going to have a lot of kids sitting around watching this, I think you choose your words more carefully,” said Quick. “Using the A word when you are on the Today Show talking with Matt Lauer, yeah, that disturbs me. But I also think that this is a way of trying to prove that I’m mad, to do exactly what everybody’s been pushing me to do, and it doesn’t ring true.”

Well sure…he has to compete with the last Democratic president in who can sink the lowest and still remain in office.  Give O time, he has months to work on his game(s).  I’m pretty sure the worst GW did was mispronounce a few words–unlike Obama who has a firm grasp on the correct pronunciation of corps.  Too bad the president described our army corps as a bunch of dead bodies–repeatedly.  Don’t even get me started on the teleprompter. HOW DARE THEY?  THIS IS MY CONSTITUTION.  IF THEY DON’T WANT TO LIVE BY THE RULES SET FORTH BY THOSE WHO FOUGHT AND DIED TO MAKE THESE UNITED STATES FREE AND PROSPEROUS THEN THEY CAN GET THE HELL OUT!  THERE ARE PLENTY OF COUNTRIES THAT WILL WELCOME THEM WITH OPEN ARMS.  PERIOD.

Charlie Crist Removes Pro-Life Section of Campaign Web Site, Rubio Complains

by Steven Ertelt

Life News

“Now that he has left the Republican Party in order to win an election and is trying to attract liberal votes, the Crist campaign yesterday removed the ‘pro-life/family’ issue page of its website,” Rubio spokesman Alex Burgos told LifeNews.com today. “In doing so, Charlie Crist eliminated any reference to being ‘pro-life’ in a transparent attempt to hide his position in order to win an election.”

This man makes me want to puke.  The moment he switched parties in a desperate attempt to win a senate seat was the moment he lost my respect.

Ahmadinejad Stresses Need for New World Order

farnews.com

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday called for cooperation among world states to forge a new world order.

Hmmm…I know we religious radicals have some whacked-out ideas of under-handed coordination of the world’s leaders to institute a One World Government.  We can’t help that we’re all kooks. It comes from beating our heads against the walls of arrogance.

Analysis: U.N. rebukes of Israel permitted in U.S. policy shift

Louis Charbonneau

UNITED NATIONS

Reuters

Tue Jun 8, 2010 1:01am EDT

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – Under President Barack Obama, the United States no longer provides Israel with automatic support at the United Nations where the Jewish state faces a constant barrage of criticism and condemnation.

See my italicized comments above + how many of you non-believers have read Bible prophecy?  It’s uncanny how closely our current affairs don’t mirror what was pre-ordained by someone greater than arrogant mortals.  This is the moment I confess I’d rather live my life believing God exists only to find He doesn’t, rather than live my life believing there is no God only to find out He IS.

Krauthammer: Those troublesome Jews

The Washington Post

“But as Leslie Gelb, former president of the Council on Foreign Relations, writes, the blockade is not just perfectly rational, it is perfectly legal. Gaza under Hamas is a self-declared enemy of Israel — a declaration backed up by more than 4,000 rockets fired at Israeli civilian territory. Yet having pledged itself to unceasing belligerency, Hamas claims victimhood when Israel imposes a blockade to prevent Hamas from arming itself with still more rockets.”

I repeat:  We should all be more like liberal democrats and open our doors wide so our enemy (who wants to blow us up) can walk right in, unimpeded, with the necessary weapons to succeed.

Paul McCartney’s an Ignorant Ass

Did you know…George W. Bush was a history major at Yale and is the only president to earn an MBA in business management–and from Harvard, no less?

Did you know…George W. Bush is married to a librarian?

Did you know…George W. Bush read 110 books in 2006, including the Bible from cover to cover–as he did every year of his presidency?  How many books do you suppose he read in subsequent years while president?  Are you curious to know which titles he chose?

“There is a myth perpetuated by Bush critics that he would rather burn a book than read one. Like so many caricatures of the past eight years, this one is not only wrong, but also the opposite of the truth and evidence that bitterness can devour a small-minded critic. Mr. Bush loves books, learns from them, and is intellectually engaged by them.”

Read the entire Wall Street Journal article here:

Now, how many has Barack Obama read?  Who knows, but I bet we can count the number of days he’s taken off to play basketball and golf.

Fundamental Change

How much government control will there be?  60% if the Financial Reform Bill is approved.  The vote is today.  Dems want it on the desk of the president so he can sign it on July 4th.  Barney Frank and Chris Dodd are putting the final touches on this bill.  Yippee.  The two men who said Fannie and Freddie were in great shape, very solid, very liquid.

The members of the Democratic-held congress are scaring the crap out of me.

In the Financial Reform Bill:

No regulation on Fannie & Freddie

Protected Class–”Too big to fail”

Seizure of private property without meaningful judicial review. The secretary of the treasury will have the authority.  The treasury will also be able to open a line of credit–without the knowledge or approval of anyone.

BCFP (Bureau of Consumer Financial
Protection) can track consumer transactions.  Found in  section 102.  How this will affect average citizens can be found here:  http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2010/05/how-will-new-financial-regulation-affect-average-americans/57120/  This is definitely worth the read.

Another lovely bill with great gifts for the people:

Free Rider Provisions in the Healthcare Bill?  Better read the fine print.  Deficit Neutral?  Hmmm…what was the CBO’s most recent figure?

Oooh…this just in from current events:

John Deere is thinking about denying their employees healthcare coverage and just pay the penalty.  YES!  This is exactly what the people of the US want…isn’t it?

This just in from ancient Greece:

“Where the law is subject to some other authority and has none of its own, the collapse of the state, in my view, is not far off; but if law is the master of the government and the government is its slave, then the situation is full of promise and men enjoy all the blessings that the gods shower on a state.”  Sent to the future with love, Plato

Aristotle fully agreed with the rule of law, writing that “law should govern,” and those in power should be “servants of the laws.” The ancient concept of rule of law is to be distinguished from rule by law, according to political science professor Li Shuguang: “The difference….is that under the rule of law the law is preeminent and can serve as a check against the abuse of power. Under rule by law, the law can serve as a mere tool for a government that suppresses in a legalistic fashion. (From Wikipedia)

The people are now slaves to the government.  The people are losing the battle to control their own lives.  The government is no longer by the people and for the people.

Voices of opposition are discredited, eliminated, silenced.

Keep Your Eyes Down & Mouth Shut or You’ll Be Next

People, things are getting crazier and more out of hand by the minute.  It appears those who have the power to control the lives of the little people have completely lost their ability to think in a rational manner.  Common sense has deserted almost every board, commission, and government employee.   Power is their drug; they’ll do anything for their next high.  As soon as I research one completely unreasonable action instituted by someone on the left, it leads to another, then another to infinity–or so it seems.  I rarely indulge in hyperbole, and I’m not doing so now.

Two Florida teachers (Christians) have been removed from the classroom because a third (a devout atheist) has accused them of offending her.  Perhaps this atheist was offending the Christians by ridiculing their belief in God.  In question is the claim that one of the Christians threw holy water on the atheist.  As reported by at least one of the kids in the classroom during the discussion, that isn’t true.  Really…who carries around holy water?   http://www.onenewsnow.com/Education/Default.aspx?id=1027662

I Couldn’t Have Said it Better

So I’m not even going to try.

This article should be read by everyone in its entirety; however, I know those who disagree with me before seriously contemplating all the facts will just ignore it and continue on with their merry little lives.  The excerpt from the article is what I’m hoping everyone will understand.  Right on, Mr. Livingston.

Financial Reform Legislation Puts Natural Supplements At Risk

I’m often struck (or saddened) by the comments from some who post on this site who fail to see how their government moves past socialism toward fascism on a daily basis. They often ask—sometimes by logging in under several different names and carrying on a conversation with themselves in an effort to disrupt a discussion—exactly what freedoms are being taken away by an overreaching corporatist government.

Well, here’s one: the ability to make your own decisions about your health and how you choose to remain healthy.

There are many others: like freedom of speech, freedom of association, gun ownership, the ability to own property (if you are required to pay a tax in order to keep it, is it truly yours?), freedom to operate a business as you see fit, freedom to pass along your earnings to your children and the freedom to decide whether your children are given potentially harmful vaccinations (enforced through rules requiring vaccinations to enroll in public schools).

If you are too blind to see that these things are happening daily, then may God help you, because you are incapable of helping yourself.

What’s Good for the Prez…

…ain’t so good for Arizona.

Oh, reeaallly? (0_0)

From the Associated Press:

The White House promised tighter security for Wednesday’s state dinner — and it delivered.

Among the hundreds who lined up to get in, at least one woman was turned away for lack of proper ID.

Nice…real nice.

Add that to this:  Central High School in Kalamazoo, Michigan, won a contest to have President Obama at its graduation ceremony.  Every single kid has to prove his “citizen status” if he wants to attend his own graduation.

The Secret Service maintains the demand for citizenship information is necessary to do proper “background checks” and it’s a requirement for the president’s safety.

Why is it okay for the president to denigrate the good citizens of Arizona for attempting to protect its citizens?  The astounding costs of fighting drug-related kidnapping, drug trafficking, human smuggling, and home invasion is an extreme burden no state should have to deal with–let alone the added expense of education, welfare, and medical care for the flood of illegal immigrants which further encumbers the law-abiding tax payers of Arizona.

Read the federal law regarding illegal aliens, then read Arizona’s new law.  If I understand correctly, Arizona’s law expressly forbids profiling whereas the federal law doesn’t.  If I’m wrong here, please correct me.  Seriously.  I want to know if I’m wrong.

The president, in a sickening show of fawning over another head of state, let Mexican president Felipe Caldero lambast Arizona.  (If that’s not a case of the pot calling the kettle black, I don’t know what is.)  Ummm…isn’t Arizona one of the states Barack Obama swore to defend when he took the oath of office?  What does that say about this United States president? Has any president in the history of the U.S. allowed anything similar?   Has any mainstream media outlet explored Mexico’s laws regarding illegal aliens stealing across the border into their country?

It all makes me so sick I could puke.

Why This Boils My Butt

Al's Swanky New Monticeto Pad

From Newsmax:

THAT Al Gore and his wife Tipper have bought an $8.87 million ocean-view home in ritzy Montecito, Calif.

The 6,500-square-foot home has five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a wine cellar, swimming pool, and six fireplaces, the Miami Herald reported.

Montecito, near Santa Barbara, has listed among its residents Oprah Winfrey, Michael Douglas, and Steve Martin.

Three years ago, global warming crusader Gore added solar panels and other energy-saving features to his 10,000-square-foot mansion near Nashville, Tenn., after he was criticized for the home’s high energy use.

Al's Humble Tennessee Shack

The Herald made no mention of solar panels at the Montecito home.

______________________________________________________________

This is the issue I have with Al Gore or any other million/billionaire:  There are starving children in the United States of America.   How many families living in abject poverty could be brought up to a decent standard of living with just the dollars Mr. Gore spent on his new digs?  How many houses does he need?  No one has the right to force Al Gore to give up what he has and give it to the poor, but if he calls himself a Christian…well, I believe Jesus sees the true heart of the man.

If I had a million dollars…I wouldn’t have a million dollars; it would all be given to feed the people who don’t have enough to eat and shoe the children with no shoes on their feet. (Yeah, I listen to Steve Miller.)  I’ve seen the people standing in the back of long lines hoping the government food commodities doled out once every 2 months doesn’t run out before it’s their turn to receive a few bags of expired bread products collected from grocery stores.  I’ve seen the food pantries try to divvy up the paltry donations they receive from truly charitable people–oft-times from the very people who should be receiving the aid–one or two times a month.

These people don’t want charity.  They don’t.

These people played no part in the collapse of our economy, but they’re the ones who lost their jobs and homes.  These are the people who paid their taxes year after year and now are made to feel like low-life scum for seeking aid.  These are the people who could care less about gay rights, abortion, the environment, or what’s going on in Greece.  They’re just trying to survive each day with food for their kids and a roof over their heads.

They care about illegal Mexicans taking the low-paying jobs that they would gladly do because they’re NOT lazy Americans.  There are few jobs these laid off factory workers qualify for because they don’t have the education to become an IT professional, an RN, or a politician.  They can’t go to school to gain a degree in the few fields with open positions–they have to scrounge for any kind of handyman/housekeeping work they can find just to survive each day.

There is no Section 8 housing assistance–it’s closed to new recipients.  There is no help beyond the first few applicants for charity utility payment help.  Government food stamp benefits are barely enough to see those families through the first 20 days of the month.  If any of those head of households has had $400 in his pocket within the last month he can’t receive welfare–no matter what anyone out there thinks.

These people care about illegal Mexicans taking benefits from our government of which they never paid a dime into the system.  They don’t care about LEGAL immigration, but they certainly care about ILLEGAL immigration.  If U.S. citizens have to obey every law, why shouldn’t these illegal Mexicans have to?  No one has a problem with anyone coming into our country the right way, the legal way.  Period.

They care about how long it takes to get a doctor appointment and can only imagine what it’ll be like with 30,000,000 more people vying for those few time slots.  There are few doctors who treat Medicaid patients because the government is so slow to pay, and these physicians have huge expense obligations they must meet every month.  Student loans don’t just disappear once the degree is hanging on the wall.  Malpractice insurance certainly ain’t cheap.  Office personnel and equipment doesn’t fall from the sky like manna.  Emergency rooms across the U.S. are filled because it takes a month to get a doctor’s office appointment at the few that accept indigent patients.  The healthcare system doesn’t need an overhaul.  There’s a large segment of the population who can afford health insurance but choose to buy other things with their money.  When they get sick and need medical care they pay out-of-pocket and can afford to do so.  These seem to be the ones shouting the loudest for free medical care.  Those who really can’t afford health insurance should be put on Medicaid and the government should make damn sure the doctors are paid in a timely manner.  There’s more than enough money flowing into the IRS coffers to do this rather than forcing Americans into a healthcare system that will be far worse than what we have now.  Period.

Those that have far more than they could ever need to live a comfortable life play God by dictating how all those beneath them should live.  This just boils my butt.  I think it’s time for the peeps who have it all to sit down and shut up.  They’ve screwed up this country with their greed and narcissism.  They call themselves Christians but they haven’t got a clue.

It’s time for middle-class America to take back control of this liberty loving country before it’s too late.  It’s time generosity of heart and spirit replace greed and corruption.  It’s time to bring back God, family, and the American dream.  This country was founded on Christian principles by Christian men.  It’s time to return to our roots and do what we know to be right in every facet of our daily lives.

If you agree, let me hear it.  If you disagree, let me hear it.  Just keep it respectful.  Honest discourse and common sense is the stuff from which this country grew.
